Thomas Read Parking
As everyone is well aware of there is a huge problem with the parking lot by TR and The ECC My fear is that a child is gonna end up badly hurt or even worse. I have talked to the shelby police about this and the school and the Police tell me that the school is responsible not them. I have also contacted the central dispatch several times requesting an officer i have watched many kids dang near get hit people cant drive around because people are parked in the middle of the parking lot. Just the other day someone was almost creamed by a semi truck cuz traffic was backed up to 31. We need any suggestions that will help and make our kids safer..

Keep the pressure on the police and the village council, Del. The old council was responsible for the changes in the past that have helped somewhat - signage, one-way streets, etc., and I'm sure the new council will work with you on it. Really what is needed is stoplights along State Street - at 6th and 5th while school is in session, and at 1st all year around.
